Dhara

Check every citation and statute section in your draft before you file.

Each case and section is looked up in our data. You see what was found, what is wrong, and what we could not check.

Sample draft with planted errors. Edit it or paste your own text (up to 3,000 characters; nothing is stored).

What it checks

Case citations
Supreme Court judgments by neutral citation, SCC, AIR or SCR reference, and Delhi and Bombay High Court neutral citations. A citation that cannot exist, such as a number beyond the court's count for that year, is a problem.
Statute sections, on the date that matters
Each section is checked against the Act as it stood on your filing date and, if you give one, the date of the events. Section 302 of the Indian Penal Code is shown with its current equivalent, Section 103 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita.
Quotations
A quoted passage is searched for in the judgment or Act it is attributed to. Not found is reported as not found. It is never called fabricated.
What it will not do
It does not give legal advice and does not say whether a case is still good law. A case we do not hold is shown as not found, never as fake. Courts and Acts outside the coverage below are shown as not checked. Law data and tax parameters have not yet been reviewed by a practising advocate or chartered accountant.
